Recognizing cardiac arrest and calling for help
Learn key skills with our step-by-step course designed for beginners and pros alike.

Most cardiac arrests happen at home, at work or in public places, and the first few minutes decide the outcome. This course teaches you what to do in those minutes: how to recognize cardiac arrest, call for help, give high-quality chest compressions and use an AED with confidence.
Each lesson is short and built around real situations, so you can study on your phone during a break or on your laptop at home. You finish with a knowledge check and a certificate of completion from Nationwide Health.
This is a knowledge course taught online by Nationwide Health. It does not include a hands-on skills test and is not an American Heart Association course. If your employer or licensing board requires an AHA card, book a Heartsaver or BLS class at nationwidehealthcpr.com.
